House Installed with Ecofoam vs. None

Updated: Nov 13, 2021

Ecofoam is a cellular material that is formed with the reaction of Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate and Polyol blend. The spray application results in a rigid foam material that expands approximately 30 times its original volume. Have you experienced paying high electricity bills?

You may want to consider insulating your walls and roof. A house installed with ecofoam saves more on energy since it has a higher R-value which helps in reducing heat flow based on the material’s thickness and thermal conductivity. It also helps the structure become more durable compared to a house with no ecofoam insulation, since it comes with strong adhesion.

Therefore, provides long-term performance. A house without insulation is more prone to moisture, dust, and other harmful bacterias since it can easily be penetrated. On the other hand, a house with ecofoam insulation promotes a healthier environment. It also contributes to sound reduction that makes it ideal for a residential music studio or a mini-movie theater perhaps.

Ecofoam consists of a Polyurethane Foam, Base Coat, and Top Coat that helps lessen the radiated heat. Hence, a typical house with no ecofoam insulation absorbs more heat which may affect the health of the residents. In a tropical country like the Philippines, too much exposure to direct sunlight already is dangerous since it may cause certain diseases: particularly skin diseases.

That is why certain creams and lotions are already equipped with sun protection which is quite similar to having a roof or wall insulation at home.
