PROBLEM
The Architect of the Church would want an insulation material that is not stapled but will look good inside the structure of the holy building. Functionality in terms of reducing a significant amount of ambient heat from the external part of the building is needed considering that the sides of the church are open. |
SOLUTION
ECOFOAM Polyurethane Foam, which could be sprayed and stitch on the underside roofing of the building structure was chosen because of its high thermal reducing properties. With an R-value of 0.02 w/m*k, ECOFOAM was the ideal material that complemented the design of the church and reduces ambient heat. During construction of the church and after the insulation with ECOFOAM, workers noticed the difference in terms of temperature inside the church. Structural strength of the roofing also was noticed and the speed of installation as well. |
