Project Name:

San Miguel CO2 Tank

Company:

San Miguel Corporation

System:

Ecofoam Polyurethane Foam Cladding Insulation

Date Completed:

February 2010

Location:

Bacolod City

Applicator:

S.E.A Olympus Marketing Inc.

Total Area:

1,100 sq. meters

PROBLEM

Due to the freezing properties of carbon dioxide that is commonly used to maintain the temperature of beer and other beverages, a cladding insulation is needed in order to maintain and control the desired temperature. At the same time, containers of such elements should be free from leaking since carbon dioxide can easily evaporate, thus, wasting on the production costs of the companies.

SOLUTION

A required 8-inches ECOFOAM Polyurethane Foam Insulation was sprayed in the outer part of the carbon dioxide container in order to preserve the desired the temperature and because ECOFOAM is seamless, it sealed on gaps, crevices and joints so chemical can't escape. San Miguel Corporation was able to properly control the temperature where the carbon dioxide are contained and at the same time preserve the contents from evaporating easily.
